Love: Spring Whisperings

Cheery Cherry Blossoms

“The first day of spring is one thing, and the first spring day is another. The difference between them is sometimes as great as a month.” -Henry van Dyke

Can I get an “Amen”?

This winter hasn’t really been winter and the typically cold, blustery winds of March have traded places with gentle temperatures and the early promise of spring, whispered in soft buds and early blossoms.

I’ll take it.

I took these photos while wandering around our property yesterday morning. All was hushed and still. Thick fog was cloaking our ridge and the valley below was nearly choking with it. Delicately strong spider webs trailed from one bush to another, tickling the back of my hand when I brushed by too closely. New life is the promise and it’s one we are blessed enough to have every year. I am thankful that this year our first spring day has arrived earlier than most.
