One of my favorite hobbies is homebrewing. I don’t get all into the science of it or the nitty gritty details like my husband does, but I love actually brewing. I know, I know. I need to start getting more involved in the development, and I’ve been advised that pretty soon I’m in charge of a brew all by myself: the recipe development, figuring out sparge temps, timing, hop additions, the whole shebang.
I can do it.
(you can do it too)
Those zeros are correct. One million.
As they also point out there are health benefits. Ok, they’re not using it as a health benefit but they do mention there are “no known pathogens that can survive in beer.”
Sounds healthy to me!
Coming up on April 21 in Lancaster, PA, is the 2nd annual Homebrewers Ball. It is a celebration of the craft and the art. It is a time to gather with fellow homebrewers and those with a like passion. Events will include 25 homebrews with paired food, live music, a photo booth (who doesn’t love a photo booth!?), raffles, and a live brewing demonstration. For detailed information on the food and entertainment, check out the Eventbrite invitation.
The ball is going to be held at The Candy Factory, a wonderful coworking space in Downtown Lancaster. It is, for obvious reasons, a 21 and over event. Tickets are $45 each and there are only about 34 left! Get it while it’s hot, friends. Believe me, you do not want to miss this event if you are a homebrewer or just a lover of finely crafted beer and food.
It is also a SOCIAL GOOD event. All proceeds are going to ASSETS Lancaster, whose mission states it “changes lives and promotes economic development by providing business support services to aspiring entrepeneurs”. Awesome!
