The Food & Spirits Festival in Lancaster, PA

Chefs at Food & Spirits Festival

Lancaster, PA, is known far and wide as a destination for those interested in learning more about the Amish culture. There is a large and integrated Amish community in Lancaster and they provide many beautiful vegetables, cheeses, meats, and baked goods at local markets. One can even visit a working Amish farm to see what life is like when you don’t use electricity or enjoy modern conveniences.

The wonderful dining options in Lancaster, PA, should not be overlooked when visiting the area. If you’re a local, you already know how good it is but I’m sure there are plenty of restaurants you haven’t tried yet. It can sometimes be difficult to branch out and try new places when you love the stuffed pork chops and garlic smashed potatoes at your go-to restaurant so much.

The Food & Spirits Festival is the perfect way for locals and visitors to experience the food of Lancaster County, all under one roof. A few food vendors offering samplings include The Log Cabin, American Bar & Grill, General Sutter Inn, Cork & Cap, Annie Bailey’s Irish Pub, Characters Pub, and Tulsi Indian Food.

If you’re a fan of craft beer, wine, and spirits, then some of these names should start you salivating: Patrón, Philadelphia Distilling, Spring House Brewing Company, Lancaster Homebrew, and Allegro Winery.

These are just a few of the many exhibitors who will be at the event. In total, there are over 70! I am particularly looking forward to seeing Stonekeep Meadery again. Their Black Currant Melomel is out of this world.

There will be live chef demonstrations by Chef Jon Ashton and Chef Fabio Viviani and musical entertainment will be provided by Tropical Soul. If their music doesn’t make you feel like you’re in the Keys then you’re not listening!

Among the fine sponsors for the Food & Spirits Festival are Audi (Autohaus Lancaster) and Silver Moon Gallery. For a full listing of sponsors and exhibitors, go here.

Eat, drink, and be merry – I hope to see you there! Let’s rub shoulders with each other while sipping a fancy cocktail and munching on fine vittles.
